I'm not dead! I swear!

So, some of you who visit my page often might have noticed my lack of activity the last couple of weeks, and I'll address that for you quickly!

For some time, my computer has been in a state of steady decline. My life, my livelihood, is all centered around my computer and the internet, so that is quite a problem. The night before last, my Hard Drive gave out completely. I knew it was going to happen and prepared well for it, backing up all my files every day. I tried all I could, but in the end, it was deader than dead. The computer I was using had many other issues as well and was not worth repairing. 

For about a day, I was a bundle of nerves, a literal wreck, worrying about how I was going to get a new computer because all I have at my house right now to use is a really shoddy 2002 Gateway laptop with 896 MB Ram. Well. I simply did not have the resources, and that was absolutely terrifying. I did what I had to do, the most shameful thing.

I talked to my parents.

I know that sounds silly, but I'm twenty-two, and I should (in my mind) be a fully independent adult. But I sucked it up and went bawling to Mommy and Daddy. And by golly, they really pulled through. My Dad was kind enough to not only order me a new computer,  but he actually ordered the one I sent him to show what I have been saving up for, a considerably better than the machine I was using before. What a total sweetheart. <3

So yeah! I'm actually going to be super productive in a very short time! The computer is in the mail and is due to arrive in 8-10 days! 

So if you're on my commission list and worried about getting your work, don't be! I'll have all the resources I could possibly need so soon! The addition of this new computer will mean that I can run more intensive programs, like Photoshop, for my actual brush work as well as photomanipulation. It's going to increase my capacity for work a lot due to a much better processor and more RAM, so I am VERY excited!
