My journey here began one lonely Christmas. We'd just gotten school laptops, and I had discovered deviantart only days before the break began. Within a week, I had met
CoCooTze and
Daystar-Art, two of my very first friends. I began talking to people more and more on deviantart. I was amazed at how I could meet people from around the world and make friends, as I'd never really experienced the internet like that before.
I've never stopped loving deviantart, even though I do find issues with the site or some people on occasion. It's my favorite website on all of the internet to this very day, and I'm certain so long as it's run by a great group of people, I'll love it as long as it lives.

~Some wonderful things that showed up in my watch box ~
I absolutely adore the colors in this one:
I always love seeing plant and nature photography, but this one really stuck out at me. The hues in this are just so beautiful! It's practically a natural rainbow created by beautiful lighting and a deliciously smooth texture on the succulent plant. What an enchanting effect the focus has on this delightful picture!
The color and movement in this one is simply extraordinary!
I can feel the dance and hear the song with this one. Not to mention the fact that purple is by far my favorite color, the fact that it is complemented so beautifully with shades of pale amber and magenta makes my eyes incredibly happy. There's a seriousness about this that's simply stunning!
I am in love with this style and the soft expressions:
No matter how many times I look at this, I'll never stop noticing one more small detail, one more little smudge or texture that blends so well with the rest that I just keep looking... zooming in and out to see pieces of hair, lighting on the skin, fabric textures, ambient lighting... the overall effect is just mezmerizing, truly!

I especially love the textures with this. The girl on the left has a face that reminds me of someone I know... the expressions in this are intense, and the texture is just delightful. I love the paper feel and the shine on the hair, not to mention the subtle texturing of cheeks and the well blended and effective blood. Such great work! I aspire to be this good someday!
I am just in love with colors and expression for this one:
I can really feel myself right there beside her, in some misty forest, water dripping from the trees and things moving ever so subtly underfoot. I love the focus and colors used to give depth to this. I especially like the additions of pinks and purples within the trees. I could quite literally stare at this all day and never get bored!
This so reminds me of Dali in all the best ways:
The colours, shape, and overall feel of this are what I'd consider the best about surrealism, a visual explanation of what attracts me so much to the genre of art. I love the lonely, strange feel combined with the enticing colors. Rainbow hues have always been a favorite of mine, and blending them this way with such great textures is just a recipe for win!

WSP always does such awesome work. I've seen such growth in her work over the years, and I'm always amazed by the time and effort put into pieces. Never falling short of expectations, here's one I'm super excited to see finished at a later date. <3
